Boat Jetty Project Overview
This was an interesting new project for the Taming Mother Nature team, as we were called to an island on the Thames to create a boat jetty for the owners of a small boat. The island is only accessible by boat, so all materials and machinery had to be transported to the site for us to work efficiently.
This project centred on creating a new boat jetty for our clients, enhancing the style and safety of their area.
Paving Materials For Jetty Terrace
Indian Sandstone was used for the boat jetty terrace, offering a warm, rustic appearance to the site. This terrace was installed from the front lawn area to the water, with steps and risers to match. We also used these paving materials to create a border and capping stones, ensuring a cohesive appearance throughout, as well as enhancing the visual appeal of the terrace with planting.
This project was unlike any other paving work we usually do, as it primarily involved rejuvenating the boat jetty wall and included some construction.
Reinforced Oak Balustrades
As well as constructing the new terrace, we also installed oak balustrades around the perimeter of the boat jetty. These were required to moor the boat when in the dock, and a reinforced oak was used to ensure lasting stability and structure.
