Garden Design Project Overview
This contemporary garden design project took place in Cheam and centred on creating a clean, contemporary landscape that is low-maintenance. We relied on sleek, hard-wearing paving and artificial turf to create a beautiful contrast and keep the garden attractive all year round. Along with the installations, we offer a complete plant design and supply as well as a bespoke pergola build.
Porcelain Paving And Block Concrete Walls
To complement the contemporary garden design, porcelain paving was laid throughout the landscape. This is a modern, hard-wearing material that offers both aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Along with the main paving areas, we also developed custom-built steps and risers to add structure and ease of access across the garden. For additional hardscaping structure, we constructed block walls. These were then clad with natural stone tiles to enhance the overall look and provide a cohesive garden design.
Fencing And Artificial Turf Installation
The primary lawn area was installed using artificial turf, providing year-round greenery without the maintenance. This is a popular solution for both modern garden designs and low-maintenance landscapes because, unlike traditional grass, artificial turf does not need watering, mowing or aerating.
We only use premium artificial grass in our landscaping projects, ensuring lasting installations and ongoing visual appeal in modern outdoor spaces.
Double slatted fencing was chosen as the garden’s boundaries due to the contemporary appearance these panels provide, as well as enhanced privacy throughout the garden.
Modern Planting Scheme
For year-round appeal, we developed a bespoke, contemporary planting scheme for the borders. This planting design focused on texture and seasonal interest, featuring ornamental grasses, alliums, Hydrangea Bobo, ferns, salvia, and cordyline.
