Cleaning And Re-Lay
The first stage in this small garden re-vamp was a chemical clean to remove the years of grime from the existing hardscaping. Over time, the paving had become worn and unclean, which is why a complete re-vamp was needed for the existing spaces.
We provided a complete chemical clean of all hardscape areas. This allowed us to see the extent of the damage and highlight the areas needed for re-pointing or relaying. By reusing the existing paving, our clients saved time and money on this small garden re-vamp and reduced the amount of waste that can be generated by a project of this scale.
Border Planting
To add some life and colour to the small garden re-vamp, we designed and installed an oak sleeper border. This provides rustic charm to the garden with a beautiful contrast to the newly cleaned and pointed paving. These areas would become colourful flower beds, where our experts planted a range of perennials and seasonal flowers to add interest, attract pollinators and provide depth to the overall garden design.
Turfing
The finishing touches to the landscape were the installation of new turfing. This expands the usable space of the small garden and offers an attractive contrast to the paved areas. Turfing and soft landscaping are used to soften the impact of paving, patios, and timber details to create a cohesive, timeless design.
The garden is now a lively, attractive space that provides plenty of practicality and visual appeal throughout the seasons.
